The Lorax at Waynesboro Theatre

April 2 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us for the classic children’s story that appeals to all ages!

Come to the “Meet and Greet” with Institute staff members at the 3 p.m. showing and make a Truffula Tree (while supplies last).

Written by Dr. Seuss and published in 1971, The Lorax remains a classic on children’s reading lists for its whimsical characters and wonderful, Seussical wordplay.

Brought to life in this delightful movie, a boy named Ted lives in the walled city of Thneed-Ville, where everything is artificial, and even the air is sold like a commodity.

Ted’s friend Audrey wishes to see a real tree, and Ted determines to find one, even confronting the grim Once-ler, who causes environmental destruction.

The story shows the plight of the environment and features the Lorax, who “speaks for the trees.” The message is as important today as it ever was—respect for the environment and all living creatures will help us preserve the planet for ourselves and future generations.

There is also a 7 p.m. showing.

Tickets cost $6 and include popcorn.
Get tickets at Eventbrite.com or at the door, while supplies last.

The Lorax is presented in partnership with Waynesboro Theatre and Rarrick Orthodontics.
