SUMMER, FALL & WINTER “SOAR” Bird Walks

March 6, 2021 @ 8:00 am - 10:00 am

SOAR (“Studying Ornithology Around the Region”) resumed in 2021.

The location for Saturday, March 6 is Caledonia State Park. Meet in the parking lot at the park office near the entrance of the park, left turn off Rt. 233 N, just north of Rt 30.
Also, effective immediately, SOAR walks will begin at 8:00 AM. 

NOTE: Locations for the SOAR bird walks will now vary, effective immediately. The walks will occur at different natural areas throughout the local region.

Please print, sign and bring the Guidelines Waiver form along with you to the walk.

After a hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic, First and third Saturday summer, fall and winter bird walks have resumed. Birding enthusiasts Sharon and Larry Williams of Waynesboro will lead the walks along the hiking trails at varying locations throughout the summer, fall and winter.

Participants should wear comfortable walking shoes and may bring identification books and binoculars. Free and open to the public.

Please Note: 2021 Bird Walks are conducted in compliance with Covid-19 safety guidelines, including:
• Groups no larger than 12
• Participants will sign in & complete a waiver/contact form (available HERE)
• Social distancing must be practiced
• Face masks are mandatory at all times, even when appropriately distanced, until further notice.
