StoryWalk Sundays: September 2023
September 10 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
NOTICE: StoryWalk® Sundays will begin alternating months starting this fall. This book will remain on the StoryWalk® trail through October—join us during our Pumpkins & Pippins Fall Festival!
Our series of StoryWalk® Sunday adventures for kids continues…
The story posted on the StoryWalk® trail at Pine Hill Park changes (monthly, or sometimes every other month), and a special story event accompanies each new book.
Kids will join a guided walk along the story trail as they read the book, then make a special craft project to take home.
The September–October book is The Apple Pie Tree by Zoe Hall, with illustrations by Shari Halpern.
In this charming book with colorful collage-style illustrations, two young sisters follow the progress of their apple tree through the seasons—from a bare tree in the winter, through the pink blossoms of the spring, to the appearance of tiny green apples, and finally to the apple picking in the autumn once the fruit is big and red. It’s time to make an apple pie!
The event is FREE, but pre-registration is required.
NEW!! Fill in the registration form, below. Limited to 20 children.
For more information, email to: [email protected] or call 717-762-0373.
All families are welcome, but activities are geared for preschool and elementary age kids.
Stay tuned for future StoryWalk® Sundays!
Current Covid safety guidelines are being followed.
