Spring Lecture #2: Play Days in the Park—Not Just for Kids!

March 21 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Each spring, The Institute presents a series of related programs. For 2024, the lectures will be on Thursdays March 14, 21 and 28.

Our unifying theme is Enjoy Franklin County, PA.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Presented by Janet Pollard, Executive Director at Franklin County Visitors Bureau

This illustrated presentation explores the many and varied parks in Franklin County, Pa., and the activities available for all to enjoy. Discover where you can play a game of pickleball, take in a live music concert on a summer evening, go for a swim, ride your bike on the rail trails—and so much more. Questions welcome.

Janet Pollard is the Executive Director of the Franklin County Visitors Bureau (FCVB), a position she has held since 2007. Prior to joining FCVB, Janet worked for the Greater Chambersburg Chamber of Commerce for ten years, and was a freelance writer for over thirty-five years.

Franklin County tourism is like a shining light that has been covered, and I most enjoy letting people see that light shine,” she said.
