Antietam Creek Check-up

April 13, 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

Presented in partnership with Antietam Watershed Association

Visitors Center, Renfrew Park, Waynesboro PA

Learn about the health of our local streams and what area residents can do to maintain or improve water quality. Renfrew Institute and the Antietam Watershed Association (AWA) promote watershed education and healthy streams with a citizen stream-monitoring program.

Presented by Melodie Anderson-Smith, monitoring program coordinator, and Shippensburg University interns, Lindsey Amsley and Nicole Wilt, the program covers the latest news on the health of both East and West Branches of the Antietam Creek in Pennsylvania. Stream monitors have been collecting stream data in the Waynesboro area for nearly ten years, documenting what has changed in local streams and what has not, during the past decade. Collective data housed at Renfrew Institute provides valuable information for watershed managers, local municipalities and the general public. For more information visit call 717-762-0373 or email us at [email protected].

Underwriting support provided by Marge Kiersz; Lucinda D. Potter, CPA; and Smith, Elliott, Kearns & Company
