Annual Lecture Series Program #2: What’s All the Buzz About Bees?

Beekeeper Kevin Lesher of Greencastle, Pa. presents a comprehensive program spotlighting the European honey bee and bees native to America. Lesher has more than 10 years experience in breeding bees and in honey production. Topics include the variety of social behaviors and tasks of the hive, plus products harvested from the hive. Handouts include a fact-filled booklet and information on how you can become a beekeeper. Attendees can also visit Lesher’s mobile education center that houses a live bee hive and allows for educational interaction with the bees.
